Awning Windows
For the unfamiliar, awning windows open outward from a hinge at the top—this makes them perfect for small and medium openings that are wider than they are tall. At Dalmen Pro, we carry stylish and versatile awning-style windows in Omni, Optima, and Renaissance Series frames, designed and manufactured to the same standards of quality, craftsmanship, and energy efficiency that we’ve come to be known for.

A Perfect Fit for Your Home
Awning windows automatically give any room a contemporary flair with their incredibly convenient design. They’re perfect for small or high spaces on their own, or in large configurations when placed side-by-side or combined with a fixed window. Because they’re operated with a crank, they’re easy to open, no matter where you place them—this is why you’ll often see an awning window over a kitchen sink! And because of the way they open, they’re also perfect for rainy days—you can let the cool, fresh air into your home, while the slope of the opened sash prevents rain from entering.
But while an awning window may offer excellent ventilation opportunities, its design also makes it incredibly energy-efficient. When closed, the sash forms an airtight pressure seal against the frame, reducing drafts or leaks in your home. When combined with one of Dalmen Pro’s signature frames—the Omni Series PVC, the Optima Series PVC-aluminum hybrid, and the Renaissance Series, which combines a PVC or aluminum outer frame to a wooden interior via a PVC core—this makes our awning windows a worthwhile investment for your home.

Double Glaze
- 1. Seals: Specially-formulated silicone provides outstanding durability when exposed to moisture and UV exposure and provides long-term adhesion as well as structural integrity.
- 2. Spacer The no-polymer content waives the risk of chemical fogging. The spacer, made from stainless steel, provides maximum area for primary and secondary sealant coverage, as well as less stress on the seal system and increased resistance to condensation.
- 3. Desiccants Optimum moisture absorption and minimal effects related to temperature and pressure changes are assured by the beaded molecular sieve which provides initial frost points below -53°C Desiccant.
Double Glaze LOW-E

Energy Saving Dalmen Pro Double Low-E
The options are not limited when it comes to Low E glass types, there are numerous types available to suit virtually any climate. When considering energy efficiency for Canadian weather, it’s important to know that Dalmen Pro Windows uses a superior and most beneficial product. Low E is a microscopically thin coating containing layers of metal and metal oxides that is unique and does not affect clarity.
This coating works together with an argon-gas-enhanced airspace, which significantly reduces the amount of hot rays from the sun entering the home in the summer. It also reduces energy costs of both heating and air conditioning by trapping interior climate conditions.
Low E glass is available for all Dalmen Pro windows and doors. Thanks to Low E’s innovative design, it works to protect your curtains, furniture, and flooring from fading by resisting damaging ultraviolet rays.
The Low E Difference
Low E is a thin coating designed to reflect heat that invisible to the naked eye. It can reduce your monthly utility bills as well as the size of your carbon footprint by improving the energy efficiency of your home.
Triple Glaze
Three panes of glass with two spacers is a major step up from double pane windows as it offers greater performance when comparing factors such as R-Value*.
Due to the harsh winter climate in Canada, windows consisting of three panes, with a glass spacer for separation, are required for all residential applications.

*R-Value: esignates window resistance to heat flow. Windows with higher R-Value are more efficient in reducing winter heating costs. (This number is the inverse of U-Value).
