While bay and bow windows are very similar, there are some differences between the two that you should take into consideration:
Bay windows are often made up of three windows that all differ in size. Usually they will be composed of one large window in the middle, accompanied by two smaller ones on either end. Bow windows are similar in that they also curve and jut outwards, allowing for a gorgeous panoramic view. However, they are constructed with between three and six windows that are of equal size. The design of bay windows are sharper, with sudden changes in the angle, whereas with bow windows feature a more gradual change in curvature.
